That's all from us then. The Final is coming up in a short span of time so do switch tabs and keep an eye on that. This is Soumarya Dutta, signing off on behalf of Pradeep. See you soon .
Lewis Gregory [Somerset captain]: Absolutely happy, low scoring games are sometimes the best one's, we had a phenomenal second half to defend 140 odd was brilliant, hopefully we can do that in the finals. We weren't too far away, we felt we were a bit short but we needed to take early wickets and we did that. It makes my life easier, with the caliber of players, with the bat and ball, hopefully we can keep doing the good work.
Chris Jordan, Surrey Captain - We did well in the powerplay as we restricted them to a low score and managed to keep them down to less than 150. However, we couldn't get any momentum in our innings and couldn't get any partnership going. Somerset have been outstanding and good luck to them for the final. We planned for playing a particular brand of cricket and we stuck to that, so really proud of the boys for making it till finals day. Obviously we will have some time to reflect now and go back to the drawing board.
Craig Overton is the Player of the Match! Here's what he has to say: It's always nice to get to the finals, but it's one more game for us to go get the job done. We saw it was up and down, we thought we'll bang in to surface and use the pace, with the bowling line-up we have, we needed to take wickets against that strong batting line-up. Essex are a dangerous team, they are destructive, we saw that in the 1st semi-final, they got good bowlers and hopefully we can end up on the right side.
SOMERSET win by 24 runs and book their place in the VITALITY BLAST 2023 Final!
Surrey 118 all out in 16.5 overs Tom Curran 22(15) | Craig Overton 3/24 Jamie Smith 19(15) | Ben Green 3/25
It was a run chase that never really got going for Surrey and they played some self destructive cricket to end up on the loosing side by a margin of 24 runs. They lost their opening batter Laurie Evans in the very first over and from there on they couldn't turn things around. Will Jacks and Jason Roy looked to be aggressive and lost their wickets in the process. There were a number of batters who got to double figures but no one could make it count. Tom Curran top scored with 22 from 15 balls as the rest of the batters crumbled under pressure.
The Somerset bowlers kept picking up wickets at regular intervals and it was the only way in which they could defend this low total and they did it with a couple of overs to spare. Ben Green, Craig Overton and Matt Henry were the pick of the bowlers as they ran through the batting line up of Surrey. Ish Sodhi was slightly expensive but he picked up the wicket of Jamie Overton.
Overall, it has been a superb performance from Somerset as they book their place in the finals. They've been unbelievable with the ball in the all important semifinals and pulled this game back from the jaws of defeat. Spare of thought for Surrey who did well to come so far in the competition but faltered at the final hurdle despite having a star studded line up featuring at least 5 England internationals. They will have some soul searching to do as they reflect on this campaign.
16.5 Matt Henry to Sean Abbott, OUT! SOMERSET ARE INTO THE FINALS! Smeed, you beauty. Short into the batter, Abbott absolutely clobbered it and went flat to deep square-leg where Smeed comes diving around and takes a sensational catch. Somerset will now take on Essex in sometime!
16.4 Matt Henry to Gus Atkinson, short into the batter, Atkinson swivels on his feet and pulled it all along the turf to deep square-leg for a single.
16.3 Matt Henry to Sean Abbott, back of a length outside the off-stump, Abbott hangs back and punched it to long-off for just one.
16.2 Matt Henry to Gus Atkinson, goes full on the off-stump, Atkinson drilled it straight to mid-off and takes a tight single.
16.1 Matt Henry to Gus Atkinson, length delivery outside the off-stump, Atkinson looks to slap it away, but mistimes it straight to the cover fielder.
Matt Henry [3.0-0-16-2] comes back into the attack.
10 runs came of that over but Green picked up his third wicket as Surrey are 9 down now. The run rate is not out of reach but it's a massive ask with just 1 wicket remaining in the hut

15.6 Ben Green to Gus Atkinson, change of pace, length delivery on the off-stump. Atkinson flicked it gently into the on-side and picks up a quick single.
15.5 Ben Green to Gus Atkinson, FOUR MORE! Green errs on the line, strays it down the leg-side. Atkinson glances it fine down to fine-leg, races away and finds the ropes.
15.4 Ben Green to Sean Abbott, back of a length on the middle and leg, Abbott flicked it uppishly past square-leg for a single.
15.3 Ben Green to Gus Atkinson, OH DEAR! Was in the air but goes wide of square-leg fielder Atkinson gets inside the line and flicked it away past square-leg for one.
Gus Atkinson, RHB, comes to the crease.
9th one down now and surely this is the final nail in the coffin for Surrey! Ben Green has his third. Somerset are almost into the finals now.
15.2 Ben Green to Cam Steel, OUT! HUGE SHOUT FOR A CAUGHT BEHIND, NOT GIVEN! Surely there was some noise but the umpire thinks otherwise. Back of a length outside the off-stump, Steel looks to cut and might've found the outside edge. Somerset review this, ultraedge confirms that there is a big spike as the ball passes the bat and Surrey are nine down!
Cameron Steel c Tom Banton b Ben Green 5(3b, 1x4, 0x6)
15.1 Ben Green to Cam Steel, FOUR! SHOT! Errs on the line, length delivery and strays down the leg-side. Steel just helps it down to fine-leg, that raced away and finds the ropes.
