This is Dwaipayan Mukherjee, signing off with my co-commentator Rajarshi Das. See you soon!
So that's it from this match - we have Paarl Royals taking on the Durban Super Giants before what is a double-header Saturday at the SA20. All teams have played 6 matches each and as we approach the business end of the tournament - expect the fixtures to get more tight and very less separating all teams.
Eathan Bosch, Player of The Match : Happy that I could contribute to the win. We are playing against some of the best in the world. The crowd is very ecstatic. Dupavillon has been a bit sick last week. The way he held his nerve was superb.
Wayne Parnell, Pretoria Capitals captain : Happy for Dupavillon. His work ethics has been amazing. We tried to use the bigger side. I think it was one of those totals if you got 30-35 inside the PP, it would have killed the chase. It was about squeezing it in the middle overs. Most bowlers did so. We will try to figure out what's the best possible XI. Rashid has been excellent. Every single game he looks to keep us in the game.
Aiden Markram, Sunrisers Eastern Cape captain: It was a game of two halves. Credit to both bowling attacks, probably a 130-sort of wicket. Probably were more runs out there, but both teams bowled incredibly well. Great game of cricket. Probably needed more intent starting out, all of us batters to be honest. We needed one guy to come out and take some of the runs away. Quite hard to do that when teams bowled well. We've often found ourselves in positions like this. Quick turnaround, we play on Saturday again so we jump on a flight tomorrow in front of our home crowd. Hopefully we can put in a good performance. Most people think of T20 cricket as high-scoring, boundaries, sixes, etc. These low totals can also make for some nerve wracking, intense moments for us players, great viewing for the crowd as well. Suppose it was one of those days tonight.
Pretoria Capitals (125 all out) defeats Sunrisers Eastern Cape (122/9) by 3 runs
Tristan Stubbs - 35 (30) | Liam Dawson - 29* (16) Adil Rashid - 3/30 | Wayne Parnell - 3/33
This match had everything. Goes to show that it just does not have to be high scores and flying sixes for games of cricket to entertain. Just over a year ago, 258 was chased in this ground. Today, 125 gets defended. Very few would have seen this coming at the beginning of the chase.
This win doubles the points for Pretoria Capitals. They move ahead from the bottom position and now are just one point behind the 4th place - MI Cape Town who have 9 points.
125 needed early wickets and partnerships were denied by the fiery opening pace batteries of Eathan Bosch and Daryn Dupavillon. It was one of the most exciting powerplay bowling shows where the duo moved it, swung it, bounced it and kept on punching the SEC batting group. Without that, it would have been difficult for Adil Rashid to come over and pick his 3 wickets. All PC bowlers did their jobs to perfection.
Even when the first few wickets fell, it appeared as if SEC would cruise through but slowly yet surely, the chase began to bear resemblance with what is traditionally known as a bottle-neck of a runchase. This would pinch more than the other losses because of the nature of the game. Everyone thought this one to be an early finish, with SEC also bagging a bonus point but Pretoria’s men had other plans.
Stay tuned for the post match reactions.

19.6 Daryn Dupavillon to Liam Dawson, Pretoria Capitals win! So close, yet so far for the Sunrisers Eastern Cape - the Capitals fought like lions and have defended a total of 125 with success! Full, close to the blockhole outside off, Dawson moved a long way across trying to scoop this one, but wasn't able to get bat on it and threw his hands up in exasperation! He and Worrall were at the same end as the latter looked to steal a bye - no point in that, and Salt didn't even bother running him out either - having gathered the ball, he ran in and joined in the celebrations!
"Execution under pressure at it's finest" - Stuart Broad, 4 runs from the last ball
19.5 Daryn Dupavillon to Liam Dawson, pin-point yorker! Right on middle stump, and Dawson could do very little about it other than jam his bat down and keep it out!
Dupavillon becomes the man under pressure now! 4 runs needed from 2 balls, Dawson is 29 runs from 14 balls, another board meeting at the bowler's end. Suddenly, SEC are favourites.
19.4 Daryn Dupavillon to Liam Dawson, SIX! WHAT A HIT THAT IS UNDER PRESSURE! Full outside off, Dawson makes room and slashes at this one. The ball pings off the blade ever-so-beautifully, and lands on the banks at deep point!
10 runs needed from 3 balls! Leg side is the longer boundary. Dawson is 2 shots away. Daryn is 1 wicket away. It is a committee meeting going on at the bowler’s end. Wonder if this is the right thing to do.
19.3 Daryn Dupavillon to Daniel Worrall, back of a length on off, Worrall gets some bat on this one as he steers the ball towards third man. The single is taken, and Dawson is back on strike!
There was a thing called the bowlers' union! Worrall would be reminding the bowler of that!
19.2 Daryn Dupavillon to Daniel Worrall, banged in short on off stump, Worrall has to sway away from the line of the ball
19.1 Daryn Dupavillon to Daniel Worrall, short of a length on off, Worrall tries dabbing it towards third man, almost chops on. The ball travels to the keeper on the bounce, who hits the stumps at the keeper's
11 runs needed from the final over! 1 wicket left! Which camp are you in? This is some nerve-wracking stuff. Definitely not for the faint hearted.

18.6 Wayne Parnell to Liam Dawson, SIX! Onto the banks at mid wicket, and this one's held by someone out there!!! My my, look at them celebrating - you'd think they're the ones claiming a win in this game! Slot delivery from Parnell once again - full outside leg stump, Dawson has a swing through the line, and the ball flies off the meat of the blade!
