A chase which, with the score reading 29/3 at the end of four overs, seemed a lost cause. Even with Faheem Nazir striking the ball as well as he ever has. But so special was that innings that he managed to vault his team past the finish line even in a mammoth chase of 125. It truly was an incredible effort that has seen the Zurich Nomads win four on the spin now.

The two left-arm seamers, Hekmat Khogiyani and Musa Ahmadzai, made early inroads even as Faheem dumped anything in the slot over the fence. Despite an 18-run opening over, the wheels had come off the chase, leaving the Nomads in a real spot of bother with nobody offering Faheem the kind of support he was after. It came to a point where he had to do it all by himself and he did not give up at any instant.

That said, Qasim Chaudhry did his bit to not just hang in with the southpaw, but also dispatch the ball himself every time he found the opportunity. His cameo was equally instrumental in ensuring that the Nomads got past the finish line. A combined 44 runs came off the seventh and eighth overs, blowing St Gallen's bowlers out of the water and when Faheem was dropped at the end of the penultimate over, the writing was on the wall.

He seemed on course for a stunning century and while he remained unbeaten on 91, the larger objective of taking his team home was accomplished. It truly was an astounding innings and out of the screws, the Nomads have managed to register a brilliant victory. St Gallen, on the other hand, have now lost their first. They'll be hurting, but they have plenty of time in the tournament to put this behind them and march ahead.

Game set and match! And with three deliveries to spare. Out of absolutely nowhere, the Nomads have pulled off a stunning heist. What a magnificent chase orchestrated by Faheem Nazir!
